Co-founder of Red Bull Dietrich Mateschitz bought the island from the Forbes media heirs in 2003. He stays at the spectacular owner’s hilltop residence when he chooses to visit. The estate is perched up high in the hills and is the crown of luxury living à la Laucala, with its own panoramic swimming pool, two guest residences and elite services such as a private cook, a chauffeur and a private nanny. When Mateschitz isn’t around, the space is open for bookings but he personally vets every guest request to stay in this most exclusive of paradise residences. Read our review of Laucala here.
